A note on Swiss weddings: legal marriages can only be carried out by the state in set locations with highly limited attendance. Couples usually carry out these formalities with only a few people in attendance, and then hold their marriage celebration somewhere larger and more glamourous such as a church or a waterside location as we have chosen. Although this means we will be technically married before our two celebrations, it is those two events that will mean most to us as we share our special days with you.
